In our restless world, "high-performing students" (a ridiculous phrase in and of itself!) are often urged to make a big, solo impact on the world at an indecently young age. In my case, the result of that narrow-sighted pressure was that my wonder and reverence for the diversity of life on our planet was needlessly displaced by anxiety and frustration. This song is a call for a humbler and more serene perspective towards one's own contributions to the world, so that we might defer our own egos to the brilliance of the Earth herself.
